Licensing Options

License costs are based on the number of virtual cores that are active on the database server. It doesn't matter how many instances or databases are active on a licensed server. This capacity model is analogous to server capacity pricing models offered by the database vendors, but simpler - we won't make you look up your hardware specifications in tables to determine PVU values.

Perpetual Licenses

DBI offers competitive perpetual licensing models with annual maintenance and support. M&S is included free for the first year with your initial perpetual license order; thereafter, M&S is a percentage of license price paid.

Subscription Term Licenses

For some organizations with extremely tight budgets, license subscriptions for a limited term may be more attractive because these models offer lower up front costs and fully deductible operating expenses. DBI offers one year and six month license subscriptions. If your organization converts to perpetual licenses on or before the one year anniversary of your initial subscription, a portion of your license subscription fee can be applied to the perpetual license upgrade cost. In a manner of speaking, this licensing model provides a way to enjoy an extended "engagement" period before "getting married". We trust remarkable ROI will be demonstrated and together we will enjoy a long relationship.

Refugee Program

During the past year, DBI has welcomed a wave of new customers that have smartly switched to DBI tools because of the greater functionality, better results, and better value that we deliver. Did your database vendor "throw in" or deeply discount their performance tool as part of a larger transaction and now you feel trapped by the Fox Watching Your Henhouse? Please inquire with your DBI representative.
