This metric shows the percentage of log space used relative to the amount of log space allocated. It is possible for log space used to exceed 100% if the database is using secondary logs.
Performance degradation can occur when secondary logs are used. There is overhead in allocating and formatting the secondary log files. For best performance, primary log space should be allocated in sufficient quantity such that the allocation of secondary logs are unnecessary.
