Special Guests: Worldwide Contestants!

Tips from Ember, Mohankumar, and Eric!

100% of our studio audience learned something! Today's contestants talked about tips for running db2haicu, DB2 LUW data movement utilities, and the best ways to build an audit table using the partitioning feature of DB2 LUW. Watch our replay for details...

Show Host Scott Hayes Commentary

Sadly, this might be the last year we run the DB2's GOT TALENT contest. It has been unusually difficult getting contestants. We are still accepting contestant applications (see below). Surprisingly, corporation policies about prizes and public speaking seem to be getting in the way for people that would otherwise cheerfully share their DB2 tips and advice with their peers. What a pity that we live in such litigious times that force us to live behind protective corporate shields. Instead of growing our communities and sharing our knowledge, we hunker down in our corporate caves.

That soap box said, I remain convinced that DB2's GOT TALENT is absolutely the funnest, coolest, most enjoyable way to learn about DB2. Our brains learn best from short bursts of useful information, and our contestant advice is delivered in short 4-5 minute segments. 100% of today's audience indicated that they learned something valuable to them.

Our judges selected Ember and Mohankumar to advance to the finals. Eric was selected as an alternate finalist that we will call upon if needed, depending on the number of contestants that we have on February 8th and 15th. Two contestants didn't show up today. So, for those of you keeping track, your odds of winning a $50 Amazon.com finalist prize are looking awfully darn good!

Finally, due to GoToWebinar® limitations for repeating webinars, we need to offer our post-show audience survey via Survey Monkey. We welcome both our live studio audience and replay viewers to complete this survey for a chance to win our $25 Amazon.com gift certificate drawing. For convenience, the survey is embedded below, at the bottom of this replay blog.

We need more contestants! This series of webinars on The DB2Night Show™ is absolutely the most fun and interesting way to learn tips, techniques, and advice on DB2 for LUW and DB2 for z/OS. Even if being a contestant isn't your "thing," make sure you REGISTER to attend the shows in February and March.
