Again I ask: Could this be the best book ever written for DB2 LUW? Maybe! I had the opportunity to review a few of the chapters and I was very impressed! The book is more that a certification guide - it is a terrific reference that I think you will refer to frequently!
Near the end of today's show, we asked our studio audience example Certification questions from the book. Sadly, as you'll see in the replay, people didn't do very well. So, this means you need to buy the book and study it! I have ordered my copy, and Amazon says the book will ship at the end of April around the 25th. IDUG in Philadelphia begins May 4th!

Mohankumar Saraswatipura (Mohan) works as a Database Solutions Architect at Reckitt Benckiser plc focusing on DB2, SQL Server, Oracle and SAP HANA solutions. He is an IBM Champion (2010-2014) and a DB2Night Show 2013 winner. Mohan has written dozens of technical papers in IBM developerWorks and Data Magazine. He is an IBM certified DB2 Advanced Database Administrator, DB2 Application Developer and DB2 Problem Determination Master. Mohan holds a Masters of Technology (M Tech) degree in computer science and an Executive MBA (IT). He lives in Manchester with his wife Dr. Nirmala and they have one child (Milan). Robert(Kent) Collins was founder and CEO of Shiloh Consulting Inc and currently is a Data Solutions Architect with BNSF Railway. He is an IBM Champion(2010-2014) and a frequent speaker at DB2Night Show and IDUG, IOD(Insight) conferences. Kent has continually worked with DB2 from its introduction to the market in 1984 amassing a wealth of knowledge and experience. He holds several certifications including IBM Solutions Expert and DB2. He lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife Vicki and together they have three children and one grandchild. |
